Why We Started Teaching Italian Differently
Lingua Chiara started because our founder sat through two different Italian courses in Bristol that promised fluency and delivered a stack of photocopied handouts and a different substitute tutor most weeks. There was no written syllabus, no fixed price, and no record of what had actually been taught from one lesson to the next.
We built the opposite of that. Every course starts with a written syllabus mapped to a CEFR level, a fixed quote confirmed before booking, and one named tutor who stays with you for the whole course. Lesson plans are checked by a senior tutor before they reach a student, and progress is written down every four lessons, not left to memory.
Pricing is quoted directly, with no agency mark-up added on top. You pay after each block of lessons by cash or bank transfer, and if a course date needs to move, we rearrange it directly with you, not through a call centre.

Lessons start at the booked time. If a tutor is running late, you hear from us before the session, not after.
Free Rebooking
Reschedule a lesson up to 24 hours ahead at no extra charge, as many times as your course allows.
Plain Written Plans
Every course comes with a syllabus you can read before you book, not a vague promise of fluency. You know what's covered and when.
One Tutor, Whole Course
We match you with a tutor for the full course rather than rotating cover teachers. Continuity matters more to us than filling a rota.
Direct Pricing
Quotes come straight from us with no agency mark-up hidden inside the hourly rate. What we quote is what you pay.
We don't hand a new tutor a class until they've team-taught a full course with a senior tutor. That's the only way we know the pace works for real students, not just on paper.
